-          Why did you spend time with the child

The occasion I want to share is when I spent time with a young child who was feeling sad about having fewer marks in exams. It happened a few months ago when I visited my cousin's house.

The child I spent time with was my cousin's son, Rahul. He is a bright and enthusiastic boy who usually performs well in his exams. However, on this particular occasion, he was disappointed because he didn't score as high as he expected.

I decided to spend time with Rahul to offer support and motivation. I understood how important it is for children to feel encouraged during challenging times. I wanted to help him see the positive aspects of his efforts and boost his confidence.

During our time together, I listened attentively to Rahul's concerns and empathized with his feelings. I assured him that exam scores don't define his worth and that everyone faces ups and downs in their academic journey. I shared personal stories of my own setbacks and how I overcame them, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and learning from mistakes.

To uplift his spirits, we engaged in various activities. We played games that required problem-solving and critical thinking, reminding him that intelligence comes in different forms. We also worked on a creative art project together, allowing him to express his emotions and talents positively.

As our time together progressed, I could see Rahul's mood gradually improving. He started to regain his confidence and believe in his abilities. We ended the day with a heartfelt conversation about setting realistic goals, celebrating small achievements, and embracing learning as a lifelong journey.

Overall, spending time with Rahul was a rewarding experience for both of us. I felt grateful to be able to support him during a challenging moment and witness his transformation from sadness to optimism. It reminded me of the importance of providing encouragement and guidance to young children, helping them navigate through difficulties, and fostering their personal growth.

Here are simple responses for the IELTS Part 3 questions

**Question 1:** Do you think there are too many rules for young children to follow, whether at school or at home?

**Response:** The perception of too many rules depends on one's perspective. Rules can be seen as a means of discipline and guidance, rather than as a nuisance. Overall, children are expected to follow rules to become disciplined and responsible individuals.

**Question 2:** Do you think children should follow all the rules?

**Response:** Yes, children should aim to follow as many rules as possible to develop discipline and responsibility.

**Question 3:** Do you think it’s necessary for parents to take decisions for their children?

**Response:** Yes, especially when children are too young to comprehend the consequences of their decisions, parents should make decisions on their behalf.

**Question 4:** Do you think it’s good for parents to help children choose friends?

**Response:** Parents can offer guidance in selecting friends, but ultimately, children choose friends based on personal preference and compatibility.

**Question 5:** Where do children usually play?

**Response:** Very young children and toddlers often prefer playing in close proximity to adults, while older children tend to enjoy playing outdoors and may be comfortable playing away from their parents.

**Question 6:** While traveling with children, which of the parents takes more care of the children?

**Response:** In modern times, both parents typically share the responsibility of caring for their children while traveling. The role may shift depending on the circumstances and the parents' arrangements.

**Question 7:** How do parents teach children to respect people?

**Response:** Parents can effectively teach respect by setting a positive example through their own behavior. Children often mimic the actions of adults, so modeling respectful behavior is essential.

**Question 8:** Do outdoor activities help children?

**Response:** Yes, outdoor activities have several benefits for children. They promote physical fitness and agility and help children develop social skills as they interact with peers during these activities.

**Question 9:** What is the difference between the outdoor activities children play now and before?

**Response:** Today, children are spending less time on outdoor activities due to increased screen time on phones and computers. In the past, children had more freedom to explore natural settings like lakes, forests, and caves. This shift is partly due to the development of mainstream sports and safety concerns.

**Question 10:** Which side, the father or the mother, invests more experience in caring for the child? Why? How can we change this?

**Response:** Traditionally, mothers have invested more time in caring for children due to societal roles and biological factors. While it's changing, the shift is gradual. To further change this, society should promote shared parenting responsibilities and support work-life balance for both parents.
