25. Describe a traditional festival (or tradition) that is important in your country.

You should say:

when the festival occurs

what you do during it

what you like or dislike about it

and explain why this festival is important.

In my country, there's a wonderful festival called Durga Puja that happens around September or October. It's a time when we celebrate the strength and power of women, especially Goddess Durga. The festival lasts for nine days, and it's filled with joy, colors, and excitement!

During Durga Puja, we create beautiful structures like special homes for the Goddess. We decorate them with flowers, lights, and amazing artwork. We also make clay idols of Goddess Durga and her children riding on different animals. People come together to sing songs, dance, and enjoy delicious sweets and snacks.

What I really like about Durga Puja is how it shows that women are strong too. Goddess Durga is a symbol of courage and goodness. She fought against a very bad demon named Mahishasura and won! This teaches us that women are powerful and can achieve great things. Actually in India culture young girls are considered to be a form of a goddess and they are called into the house so that, they bless the house.  It's also a time for everyone to respect and honor women in our families and communities.

One thing I dislike is that the festival ends after nine days, and we have to say goodbye to the beautiful idols. But the good thing is that we all come together every year to celebrate Durga Puja, and it fills our hearts with happiness and unity.

Durga Puja is important because it brings our community closer and teaches us about the strength of women. It's a time for us to learn from Goddess Durga's bravery and remember that girls and women can be warriors too!
