In this contemporary era, pollution and waste are increasing at jet speed, and we humans are the main reason behind all these issues. Here, I would like to narrate about an incident where I saw a lot of disposed waste plastic, and I did something about it.

Last year, I was going north of my city centre, and I saw a wasteland where a lot of plastic was being dumped. It was near a marriage hall called The Krishna Resorts. 

The dumped plastic was there as the marriage hall was dumping all their plastic disposable waste to that nearby location, and due to the huge waste generated at the end of Indian marriages, the place was converted into a dumping ground where everyone started throwing their waste.

At this time, i was with my uncle and he told me that we will write a letter to the Deputy commissioner of the city about this. The next morning we both wrote a letter to the commissioner and he ordered to clear the land after a week, i think the place was converted into a public park. 

The park has many swings, and lush green gardens and the park also has a huge screen which shows important news and various things happening in the city. people of the city come to the park to walk and exercise. it helps them to be fit as a fiddle. 

In this park many functions are organized by the city council. therefore this park is the biggest improvement in the city

No absolutely not, plastic each year kills thousands of sea fish and mammals like tortoises and penguins. More importantly it destroys land and as it goes deeper in the land it contaminates ground water too. This plastic doesn't degrade but breaks into really small particles which pollute everything.

 How can we reduce our use of plastic?

By using lesser dangerous alternatives, like jute bags and cotton bags And by reusing the existing plastic.there are simple everyday things which we can do to reduce the plastic use like carrying steel bottles for drinking water.

Many kinds of plastics, like bags, party disposables, plastic crockery, plastic bottles.

Why do people like to use plastic products?

I think there are two main reasons behind it. One is that plastic is more convenient as it doesn’t get damaged easily and keeps the goods safe and dry. Secondly, plastic is cheaper as compared to metal or other alternatives.
